Privacy Policy
This policy explains how the debate platform collects, uses, shares, and protects information. Last updated June 30, 2026.
Information We Collect
We collect account information such as your name, username, email address, profile photo, bio, connected social accounts, and authentication metadata. We also collect content and activity you create in Debate, including debates, chat messages, follows, votes, notifications, uploads, and profile preferences.
How We Use Information
We use your information to operate accounts, display profiles and debate history, personalize discovery, process notifications, prevent abuse, improve reliability, and provide support. Authentication, database, realtime, and storage services are provided through infrastructure partners.
Public Content
Debates, usernames, profile details, uploaded media, votes, and chat activity may be visible to other users depending on the product surface and your privacy settings. Private Account limits public discovery of profile activity, but direct links and moderation or safety workflows may still require limited access.
Cookies and Local Storage
We use browser storage and authentication cookies or tokens to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and support security.
Sharing and Service Providers
We do not sell your personal information. We share information with service providers only as needed to run the service, comply with law, enforce safety rules, investigate abuse, or protect users and the platform.
Data Retention and Choices
We retain account and debate data while your account is active or as needed for safety, legal, operational, and backup purposes. You may update profile information and privacy preferences in Settings. Account deletion requires a server-side support flow until self-service deletion is enabled.
Contact
For privacy questions or data requests, contact Debate support through the support channel listed in the app or your deployment owner.
